While processing the
24ISAMSKGI01 mosaic,
presented in the previous post, I noticed an interesting features between Euxine Mons, a large mountain aligned North to South along the left side of the mosaic, and Amirani, a large lava flow just to the east. It appears to be a rounded trough leading away from the mountain (the sun is to the lower left) and toward the lava flow (or the other way around. A collapsed lava tube, perhaps, or a simple thermally eroded lava channel (keep in mind that this thing is 5 km wide). Still rather interesting.
